when I first started to make this book I had the idea of using spring hues.
greens, yellows, pinks and aqua blues...
I had a few cast off fabric bits laying around that I wanted to work into this journal,

and this is what led me to taking up my old ways of sewing on paper...
I enjoy the popping sound of the needle as it punches threw the paper... 
it has a way of pulling closer to the process of my work.
I Panted fabrics and papers and made smaller books that I attached to the main book.
other storys started to unfold between these layers
