I spent last week visiting my dear friend Kristen Robinson and in the guest room where I was staying was this lovely china head doll with out a dress! (image my dismay! the poor dear needed clothing and fast!) I asked Kristen if she wanted any special words on her dress and she chose to have the end verse from the last letter that Ludwig van Beethoven wrote to his Immortal beloved ~
.
You – My life – My all -
farewell. Oh go on loving me -
Never doubt faith-fullest heart of your beloved.
Never doubt faith-fullest heart of your beloved.
The back of the dress reads:
ever thine
ever mine
ever ours
(You can read more about the love letters here )
