Published...

You will find a mixed media delight in Somerset apprentice: spring 2011 issue as I tell you how to heat alter craft felt and how to make resin paper along with how you can create your own free standing try fold book.

Since July is a multi-layered book

that combines wire with old hand written papers along with resin covered book text, fabrics, ribbons and felts.

in a wabi-sabi style.

this is a quintessential Japanese aesthetic that is a beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. It is a beauty of things unconventional...

Its a story of textures combined with blurred text.

Since July...

By ringing the bells that still can ring.

There's a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

art quilting studio

do you see your quilt on this table?

don't fret if you do not as these are just glimmers of what may be...

Lovely Miss Amanda Crabtree editor of  art quilting studio  and I Had our fun on tuesday over at stampington & company looking over all of the amazing art quilts that have been submitted for the June issue of art quilting studio.

the job of sorting through the quilts is just a small part as once they are chosen and the final choices on what will go in the magazine is made then Amanda must decide what articles need to be written to go with them.
so many steps and so many hands must have there part before you ever get to see a magazine in print.
Its a process that I have the fun of watching unfold first hand!

we walked around the city full of smiles

as we walked from dinner to our hotel.
